COVID-19 Update

As estate planning and elder law attorneys, our practice is dedicated to serving some of our most vulnerable citizens. Therefore, we understand the concerns, anxiety, and hardships that the current COVID-19 outbreak is causing everyone in our community.

The Nelson-Reade Law Office is dedicated to continuing to provide services to our clients during this time while also maintaining the safety of our clients, their families, and our staff.  Accordingly, we will continue to remain open and working throughout the outbreak of COVID-19, and have implemented the following precautions to ensure everyone’s safety as well as compliance with current government mandates:

  • We will meet with all clients by phone or video conference;
  • Our physical office will remain open during our normal business hours in order to answer phone calls and receive documents;
  • We are able to assist in the signing of estate planning documents by video conference, or by wearing protective equipment and meeting clients in our parking lot.
  • Our staff is rotating working from home so that only approximately half of our staff is present to allow maximum social distancing in our office.
  • We will continue to receive guidance from the Maine Department of Health and Human Services and the Maine Centers for Disease Control to ensure we are utilizing best practices to ensure everyone’s safety.

Crises such as this are often a reminder to review and update or create an estate plan. With a phone, or with an internet connection and a camera-enabled device, we can meet virtually to assist you with your legal needs.

Please know that your family’s health, comfort and safety are our priority. We are here to support you during this time. Please call our office at 207-828-1597 to let us know how we can help.
